The tours include my popular and award-winning Old Jewish Quarter tours in London's famous East End, exploring the incredible history and rich heritage of the Jewish community.
Among my dozen different tours, there’s also King Henry VIII’s amazing Hampton Court Palace with intriguing Jewish connections and I offer a full day tour to the magical city of Oxford, steeped in Jewish history and with a visit to its famous university, a river ride and afternoon English Tea.
I also give lectures with my own projection equipment featuring London’s Old Jewish Quarter, Hampton Court Palace, London’s Famous Attractions, the beautiful city of Oxford and there's Jewish Rome where I spent three fabulous years conducting fascinating guided tours.
With all my tours and lectures I recount heartwarming and heartbreaking tales. I will introduce you to many characters from the past and point out countless sites of great interest …and some are little known sites that always intrigue clients! All my tours and lectures are informative and entertaining and as one of my clients says on my Testimonials page: "You really don't have to be Jewish to enjoy Stephen's tours".
As a specialist independent guide with more than 25 years experience conducting tours, I will give you an insider's view (past and present) that is not found in any guide book. I delight in sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for Jewish heritage and this is thanks to my parents who gave me a unique insight into the story of the Old Jewish Quarter where I was born.
